Brief History
The year, 1999, saw the beginning of the Chimala Christian School with only grade one available. Since then, we have been able to add through grade seven. This will result in the 2007 school year having 460 students enrolled.
In addition to these grades, we also have a Nursery School that is operating on the grounds of the mission. The Nursery School has 70 students enrolled.
Each student receives instruction in numerous areas, including the Bible on a daily basis. Many of our teachers are involved in areas of teaching outside the school. Many take part in the weekend campaigns that are designed to take the good news of salvation to the people of Tanzania.
The school system was built with the vision of training Tanzanians to eventually be able to take the Gospel throughout Tanzania and neighboring countries. Through this school system we plan to offer the best secular education possible, so that when our kids graduate they will be able to pursue careers that will take them all over Tanzania and Africa. In addition to the secular education, our primary goal is to offer them the best Biblical Education possible. With this knowledge, along with their secular education, our hope is that many graduates will eventually take the gospel with them as they move throughout the country seeking employment. Though this is a long-term project, we firmly believe that through this effort every region, district, and town in Tanzania will eventually see fruit because of this program.
Right now we lack around $30,000.00 to complete the construction of the Secondary School. We would appreciate any help that we can get. Once the construction is completed, the daily operation of the school will be funded through school fees collected in Tanzania. Please keep this work in your prayers.
